Siraj made his IPL debut in 2017 with Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he impressed with 10 wickets in six matches, including a four-wicket haul (4/32). His performance caught the attention of RCB, who acquired him in 2018. Over seven years, Siraj became a crucial part of RCB’s bowling attack, consistently delivering breakthroughs in crucial matches. Ahead of the IPL 2025 season, GT secured his services for a whopping ₹12.25 crore at the auction.
In his IPL career so far, Siraj has played 93 matches, scalping 93 wickets at an economy rate of 8.65. His best bowling figures came in 2023 while playing for RCB.

“It is a completely different feeling when you play for your country. A professional player wants to represent his country in an ICC event and win at least one title during his career. Rohit Bhai did what was best for the team. Given the conditions in Dubai, I knew fast bowlers wouldn’t be as involved, and spinners would play a bigger role,” he shared.
Rather than dwelling on the omission, Siraj used the time off to focus on his fitness, bowling, and spending quality time with his family. “I utilized the break that I got after playing for a long time. I focused on my fitness, bowling, and spending time with my family,” he added.
